Original bundle of records found in small box on which has been written "Contract with Messrs W. H. Smith Son. Valuers Solicitors' Bills. Correspondence respecting Renewal of Lease - 1 High Street. Purchase of Business - Valuer's Statement of Account":

1. Contract for purchase of lease, goodwill, book debts and stock in trade of business carried at no. 1 High St, between Edward Fox of no. 1 High St, bookseller, stationer and printer, and W. H. Smith Son, 22nd April 1906.

2-7. Sealed envelope said to contain "Accounts, Advertisements, Lists of Fixtures, etc connected with the Sale of Bookselling, Stationery Fancy Business No. 1. High Street May, 1906", with legal bills for obtaining assignment of the lease, 1897, and for the assignment etc, 1906; correspondence, and valuation of the business at no. 1 High St, by George Larner, May 1906, with receipted account, 1907.
