Probate of the will of Edward Townsend Higgins of 17 Montague St. Russell Square, Middx, barrister at law, made 15th February 1843, [died 13th November 1848] and proved 12th March 1849. Appointment of Thomas Hunt of Stratford, esq., as trustee under the will of ETH in place of William Oakes Hunt, deceased, respecting Higgins's capital messuage called Avonhurst at Tiddington, with the appurtenances in the occupation of William H. Child esq., and farm lands late in the occupation of Richard Smith and then of his widow and now of his son, Thomas Hortin Smith, 1st March 1875, endorsed with resignation of John Burne of Richmond Lodge, Bath, esq., MD, as trustee in favour of Henry Holland Burne of Bath esq., 2nd March 1875. Appointments of Edward A. Deer of Stratford, auctioneer, and John E. R. Combe of Malvern, Worcs., retired brewer, 17th June 1930, and of Louis Oliver Alford Hunt of Ditton House, Weedon Road, Northampton, captain in HM's army, and Margaret Emma Higgins of 4 Northumberland Road, Leamington, 12th May 1934, as new trustees, with memorandum on dorse of the latter that Avonhurst and 12 acres, three roods and thirty perches of land were sold to William Salt on 14th May 1934.
