Baddesley Clinton


Anglo-Norman Mortgage from Cecilia widow of James de Clinton' and Thomas her son to Thomas de Baddesleie and Simon his son of a tenement called Morcroft in Baddesleye more fully described in a charter made between the said parties. The condition being that if the said Cecilia and Thomas repaid 20s. to the said Thomas and Simon on the day of the Annunciation of the Blessed Mary in the church of Baddesleye after a term of eleven years the said mortgage would be void. Sealing clause. Witnesses: Sir Peter de Montfort, Sir John de Bisschopisdon', John de la Wodevate, John de Pesham, Walter de Wynterton' and others. Given at Baddesleye 20 March 18 Edward II [1325].
