Description

Gift from Thomas Cokkus of Couentr' passenger to John Neuby of Baddesley Clynton' and Alice his wife of lands, tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows, pastures, feedings with hedges, ponds, moors, ditches and appurtenances which the said Thomas held by the gift of Robert Halughton' of Couentr' barbour and which formerly belonged to Roger Mayhowe and John Mayhowe. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Witnesses: John Saundre; Walter Pache; Walter Goodman'; Richard Clerke; Henry Burdett de Baddesley Clynton' and others. Given at Baddesley Clynton' 9 June 6 Henry V [1418]. Tag and seal cut away.
