Description

Gift from John Saundres the elder and Walter Sly of Lapworth' to John Saundres of Baddesley Clynton' the younger and Edith his wife of all the lands and tenements in Baddesley which the said John and Walter lately received by the gift and feoffment of the said Edith. The said John and Edith and their heirs to hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Witnesses: Oliver Burdet; Simon Goodman; John Goodman; Thomas Harper'; John Harpere and many others. Given at Baddesley Clynton' Thursday next after the feast of St. Barnabas the Apostle. 17 Richard II [18 June 1394]. Seals: 1. Circular seal of red wax on tag. 1/2 in.
