Description

Gift from John Huwet of Baddesley Clynton to Thomas Yue of Kyngeswode of a croft called le Blake croft lying in the fee of Baddesley. To hold the same for ever rendering annually to the chief lord of the fee 3d. at the two annual terms, 1 1/2 d. at the feast of St. Andrew the Apostle and 1 1/2 d. at the feast of St. Peter ad vincula in equal portions. Warranty clause. Sealing clause. Witnesses: Dom William [Osmunde] rector of the church of Baddesley; Simon Godeman; Oliver Burdet; John Saunder' of the same and others. Given at Baddesley Clinton' Friday next after the feast of Epiphany 1 Henry IV [9 January 1399/1400]. Circular seal of red wax, defaced. 3/4 in.
