Description

Gift from John Mayhow of Couentre son and heir of John Moyhow of Baddesley to William Auger of Couentre of lands and tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows, pastures, feedings, with woods, hedges, ponds, ditches and appurtenances in Baddesley which the said John inherited upon the death of Roger Mayhow his grandfather and Juliana his grandmother, daughter and heir of John Godeman. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Sealing clause. Witnesses: Robert Burdet de Baddesley; John Saundur; Walter Peche; Walter Godeman; Richard clerk of the same and others. Given at Baddesley Tuesday on the feast of St. Dunstan the Bishop 12 Henry IV [19 May 1411]. Tag for seal with traces of brown wax.
