Gift from Simon Bythewode of Rowynton' to Edward Metteley and Margaret his wife of lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, hedges, ditches, and appurtenances in Baddesleye Clynton' and Rowynton' which the grantor held by gift and feoffment of William Barewell' of Alscote, co. Gloucester [Alscot, co. Warwick]. To hold the same from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Sealing clause. Witnesses: Oliver Burdet; Robert Walden'; John Brome; John Godeman; Thomas Harpere and many others. Given at Baddesleye Clynton' Thursday next before the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary 17 Richard II [4 September 1393]. Seal and tag torn away.
