Description

Lease from Edward, King of England with the assent of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster to Nicholas Broun' of Baddesley of lands, tenements and appurtenances called Waleys in Baddesley with the rents, reversions and services pertaining to the same. To hold the same from the feast of St. Michael the Archangel 8 Edward IV [1468] for 30 years rendering annually 8 marks at the usual times. The said Nicholas to be responsible for maintaining the said property during the said term, and if the said rent was unpaid beyond a quarter of a year it should be lawful for the grantor to have the right of re-entry. Sealing clause. Given at Westminster 8 May 9 Edward IV[1469]. Tag for seal with traces of red wax. [40]
