Description

Oxfordshire. Thomas Harborne, gent., to William Rawlins, gent., ejectment. The plaintiffs declare Francis Fetherston and Elizabeth his wife (née Hedges) on 10 April 1657 at Charlebury leased 90 acres of land, etc. William Hedges, an infant on death of William his father, was admitted [1640] to 80 acres in Fawler within the manor of Charlebury, on the death of Elizabeth his mother which William died without issue; and at a Court Baron held 17 April 1750, Ann Mary Hedges, now wife of defendant, was admitted and is supported by a customary, 34 Elizabeth, made between the President and Scholars of St. John's College, Oxford, as lords and Sir Henry Lee, Knight, as farmer, that in lack of heir male the eldest daughter should inherit.
