Gift from Richard Whitley and John Heyne the elder to John Brom' the younger, John Sperman and John Baxter clerks of divers parcels of land and meadow formerly Gamel lying scattered in Baddesley, one called le Fowreacres, another called le Twoacres, and pieces of meadow lying in Meysemore, which lands the grantors lately held by the gift and feoffment of Richard Carter. who held the same from the lord of Baddesley for the annual rent and service of 2s. 4d. To hold the same to the said John Brom', John Sperman and John Baxter and the heirs of the said John Brom' from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Warranty clause. Sealing clause. Witnesses: Thomas Smyth'; Thomas Masoun; Nicholas Goodman and many others. Given at Baddesley Saturday next after the feast [of the Nativity] of St. John the Baptist 18 Henry VI [25 June 1440]. Two tags and seals cut away.
