Description

Lease from Nicholas Brome esq. and John Eborall' of Balshale of a meadow called Dole Medowe lying between the meadow called Badesmore and another meadow called le Morefeld'. To hold the same for 40 years rendering annually to the said Nicholas 4s. at the two terms of the feasts of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Michael in equal portions, together with suit of court. The said Nicholas to have the right of distraint if the said rent was in arrears for one month, and the right of re-entry if in arrears for over a quarter of a year. The said John to strip and clear the said meadow at his own cost without doing any damage to the trees, woods, subwoods and `heggerewes', and to maintain the hedges and ditches of the said meadow in good repair.
