Memorandum by Henry Ferrers of Baddesley Clinton esq. reciting that whereas the said Henry Ferrers and Edward Ferrers of Woodloes his son and heir were bound in the penal sum of £200 to abide by the award made by Simon Grover of Hampton-in-Arden clerk and John White of Packington Parva clerk in a dispute between the said Henry and Edward on the one hand and Maurice Jones of Badesley clerk on the other, the said Henry as part of this award now sold to the said Maurice all the underwood and poles growing in Rownton coppice within the manor of Badesly. To hold the same for 6 years from the following Michaelmas. Consideration: £3 10s. 10 May 1611. Signed: Henry Ferrers Seals: 1. Seal of red wax applied through paper tongue. 2. Paper tongue only.
