Lease from Henry Ferrers of Baddesley Clinton esq., George Brome of Halleton [Holton], Oxon. esq. and Walter Gyfforde of Highe On [High Onn], co. Stafford esq. to Henry Cowper of Rowington husbandman of closes of meadow and pasture called Chatwynns in Baddesley Clynton in the tenure of the said Henry Cowper together with a little barn on the said lands, reserving however all the trees growing on the said lands with free entry to cut and carry away the same. To hold the same from Lady Day last past for 100 years or for the lives of the said Henry Cowper and Thomas and Joan his son and daughter paying annually £3 at Michaelmas and Lady Day in equal portions, the said lessors to have the right of re-entry if the said rent was not paid. The said Henry to maintain and repair the said barn, hedges, fences, mounds and ditches with the right to take hedgebote and housebote for the same and to fell and `grubb up' all gorse, birches and underwoods on the said lands for his own use during the said term.
