Mortgage from Henry Ferrers of Baddisley Clinton esq., Edward Ferrers gent. son and heir of the said Henry and Walter Giffard of Highe Onne [High Onn], co. Stafford esq. to Timothy Wagstaffe of the Middle Temple, London gent. of a meadow with appurtenances in Baddisley called the Great meadow now or late in the occupation of Ellis Bird. To hold the same from Lady Day 1612 for 21 years for the annual rent of 2d. if demanded. The said Timothy to have hedgebott, tynsell and stakebott to repair the hedges and ditches of the said land. The same to be void if the said Henry, Edward and Walter repaid £108 to the said Timothy on 1 March 1610/11 at the house of Thomas Wagstaffe father of the said Timothy called the Colledge in Warwick between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Consideration: £100. 2 March 7 James I [1609/10].
