Description

Counterpart of Lease from Hester Ferrers of Bath, co. Somerset widow to William Wheler the elder and William Wheler the younger of Baddesley Clinton yeomen of a messuage and 82 acres of land in Baddesley Clinton formerly in the occupation of William Cattell but then in the occupation of the said William Wheler the elder and William Wheler the younger, reserving the timber and mineral rights on the said lands. To hold the same for 14 years for the annual rent of £65 and paying an additional rent of £20 for every acre sown with hemp or flax. The said lessees to maintain the said property, not sow in any year above 35 acres of the said land with grain, and in the last year of the said lease to sow at least 10 acres with grass using at least ten pounds of clover and one bushel of rye grass to the acre.
