Description

Gift from John Barkere of Henleye to Richard Prat' of Lappeworth' of a messuage with adjacent garden in Henleye between the tenement of the Gild of St. John on the one hand and the tenement formerly belonging to Richard Cray on the other, also 18 selions of arable land lying scattered in Whyteleyefeld' and a piece of land formerly belonging to Richard Cray, to build upon extending 10 feet in breadth and 20 feet in length, which tenement the said John held by the gift and feoffment of William Hychecokes of Henleye. To hold the same from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service, rendering annually to the said John and his heirs one red rose at the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.
