Counterpart of lease from Dame Constance Ferrers of Baddesley Clynton widow to Agnes Bysell of Clardon' widow and Roger Bysell of Clardon' husbandman of a messuage with appurtenances in Clardon' and 3 crofts and 30 acres of arable land in the common fields of Clardon', which property was formerly in the tenure of Thomas Bysell deceased, father of the said Roger. To hold for 24 years paying an annual rent of 5s. to the said Constance and 9s. to the chief lords of the fee. The said messuage which was burnt down through the negligence of the said Agnes was to be rebuilt as a messuage of five bays by the said Agnes and Roger before Michaelmas 1543, the said Constance providing the wood for the first two bays which were to be finished by the following Michaelmas, and also to supply wood or 6s. 8d. for the remaining bays. The said Agnes and Roger were to repair and maintain the same during the remainder of the said term, and the said lease was to be held by the said Roger if the said Agnes remarried during the said term. 15 June 31 Henry VIII [1539].
