Description

Two inventories of the goods, chattels and personal estate of Thomas Ferrers of Badesley Clinton esq. deceased (1713-1760), which since his death had passed into the custody of William Shakespeare gent. and Hugford Hassall gent. executors of his will, taken by Edward Tallis and William Wakefield. The two inventories differ slightly in compilation but the estimated total value in both accounts was £1,085 17s. 9 1/2 d., from which goods and animals worth £99 9s. had been sold by the said executors. The inventory contained an interesting list of books in the library, including a copy of Dugdale's Warwickshire valued at 7s. 6d. 12 October 1760. Signed: Edwd. Tallis and Wm. Wakefield.
