Counterpart of indenture of assignment by Daniel Hanchett of Coleman Street, London, apothecary, to Thomas Bedford of Great Ormond Street in the parish of St. George the Martyr, co. Middx., esquire, reciting indentures of lease and release dated 23 and 24 February 1735 [DR33/46 and 47] by virtue of which and of one or more common recoveries suffered since the therein recited messuage and lands in Hidcott Barthrum, co. Gloucs., were limited after other uses to the use of Daniel Hanchett for 500 years subject to be void on payment of £731.10s. and reciting an obligation of Daniel Hanchett whereby he was bound to Thomas Bedford in the penal sum of £1200 conditioned for payment of £600 with interest on a date then soon to come, in consideration of 5s. paid him by Thomas Bedford, of the said recited messuage and lands for the said term of 500 years, such assignment to be void on payment by Daniel Hanchett to Thomas Bedford of the full £600 with interest on the appointed day.
