Counterpart of a mortgage from Mary Ferrers daughter of [Henry] Ferrers esq. to Richard Venar of Wellisborne gent. and Edward Murcott of Tachebrooke Episcopi yeoman of three woods in the manor of Bishoppes Tachebrooke called [Oakley] wood, Norton close and Wiggerland wood alias Wiggerland coppice, which lands were formerly leased to the said Mary by the said Henry Ferrers, Edward Ferrers, son and heir of the said Henry, Thomas Wagstaffe of Warwick gent. and Thomas Wagstaffe of London, son and heir of the said Thomas, on 18 September 1608 for a term of 21 years at an annual rent of 40s. to be paid to the said Henry Ferrers. The said Richard Venar and Edward Murcott to hold for the remainder of the said term, the same to be void if the said Mary paid to the said Timothy Wagstaffe £220 on 28 November 1610 at the `Fonte stone' of the Temple Church in Fleet Street.
