Description

Draft agreement made between Edward Ferrers of Baddesley Clinton esq. and Ferrers Randolph of Wood Bevington esq. concerning a copyhold messuage and 1 1/4 yardlands in Heddington and Barton in the manor of Heddington, co. Oxford, and one copyhold messuage and one half yardland called Copes alias Woodhouse with appurtenances in Heddington, formerly belonging to John Ford deceased, next to Francis Ford and then to Richard Roberts of Tubney, co. Berks, from Dame Ursula Whordwood, lady of the manor. Which lands were leased on 20 August [?1636] by the said Richard Roberts on payment of £800 by the said Ferrers Randolph to the said Edward Ferrers as security for £250 owed to the said Edward Ferrers by the said Ferrers Randolph, the said Ferrers Randolph having the right to occupy the said property and the said lease to be void on the repayment of the said £250 within 7 years, the said Ferrers Randolph to pay the said Edward Ferrers the annual sum of £20 during this term.
