Description

The record made by Nicholas Goodman of Baddysley in a dispute between John Saundres mason, son and heir of Richard Saundres brother of John Saundres of Baddisley the younger and Felice Man' sometime wife of the said John Saundres the younger, concerning a messuage and lands in Baddysley belonging to the said John Saundres the younger. The said Nicholas stated that Edith atte the Lee was formerly seised of this property which she enfeoffed to John Saundres the elder and Watkyn Slye. The said Edith then married the said John Saundres the younger and the said feoffees made an estate of the said property to the said John and Edith and their heirs. Upon the death of Edith, the said John Saundres the younger married the said Felice and made an estate of the said property to Dom John Blakenhale priest, Robert Makerneys and the said Nicholas Goodman, and made delivery of seisin upon trust that when the said John Saundres the younger died they, the said John Robert and Nicholas, would make an estate of the said property to the said Felice, then to the son of the said John and then to the rightful heirs of the said John Saundres the younger.
