Assignment from the Rt. Hon. George John, earl de la Warr to the Rev. William Jones of Chelfont, co. Buckingham clerk of a mortgage in the penal sum of £5,000 made between the said George John, earl de la Warr and the Rt. Hon. Charles Vere Townshend on 22 September 1823 secured by two life insurance policies on the life of the said Charles. Consideration: £2,000 with interest. 18 September 1827. Signed: De la Warr Circular seal of red wax applied. 1 in. Witnesses to signing and receipt endorsed: D. Hailes; J.W. Reynolds, Castle Street, Leicester Square; J. Davies, butler to his lordship. Memorandum endorsed dated 16 December 1847 being a receipt for the said £2,000 with interest signed by Edward Moore, son-in-law of the said Rev.
