Rainsford and Dighton families of Clifford Chambers

Indenture of lease by Sir Henry Rainsford of Clifford Chambers, co. Gloucs., Knight to John Joanes of Clifford Chambers, cooke, ffraunces Joanes his wife and Peter Joanes their eldest son, in consideration of the sum of £4.10s., of a cottage, garden and little orchard and one little close of half an acre situate in Clifford Chambers, and three ridges or lands of arable ground in the common fields of Clifford, viz. one ridge called whole ridg'd acre lying in red hill field and two other ridges lying in old field, and one cowes common or pasturing within the common cowpasture of Clifford, all then in the occupation of John Jones, to be held at a yearly rent of 6s.8d. and after the death of John Jones at a yearly rent of 10s. for the term of the lives of fraunces and Peter.
