Rainsford and Dighton families of Clifford Chambers

Indenture of lease for a year by Richard Dighton late of Clifford als Clifford Chambers, co. Gloucs., and then of Hidcot Bartrum in the parish of Mickleton, same county, esquire and ffrancis Keyt Dighton of Clifford, esquire, eldest son and heir of Richard and Alice his wife late Alice Keyt, to John Goodwin of Crane Court, ffleet Street, London, gentleman, in consideration of 5s. apiece, of the capital messuage situate in Hidcote Bartrum and lands [described in no. 36; note the Oate peice, and two closes of meadow containing c.7 1/2 acres being theretofore part or parcel of 21 1/2 acres, which close of pasture and two closes of meadow were formerly bought by ffrancis Keyt ... of one ffrancis Wells and Lucy his wife etc.] to the end that John Goodwin might be in actual possession of the properties and thereby enabled to take a release of the reversion, ffreehold and inheritance thereof.
