Copy surrender of that date made at a court baron of William Pulteney esq., committee of the estate of John Newport, esq., lord of the manor, by Thomas Wilkinson of Wem, co. Salop., maltster, of two pieces of land known as the Backsides to the use of Philip Ratcliff of Weston-under-Redcastle, same county, yeoman, and admission of the same. Copy signed by C(harles) Bolas (steward). Endorsed with memorandum of defeazance of the same subject to payment of £300 and interest according to the terms of an assignment of mortgage and a bond of the same date. Copy similarly attested.
