Description

Bond from Thomas Wood of Allesley, yeoman, to Christopher Waid in the penal sum of £20 to keep all covenants and pay such rents as was agreed in a writing indented bearing even date, whereby the said Christopher Waid leased to the said Thomas Wood two closes called Rindulles in the lordship of Allesley to hold for 27 years at an annual rent of 40 shillings. Dated 8 January, 30 Henry VIII. Seal on tongue: round, black, cracked. A gateway flanked by towers. Tie below. Endorsed: Allesly [AG]
