Petition of William Walford, William Chaundler and Henry Smyth of Stratford, addressed to the Justices of the county of Warwick

Description

Showing that, holding divers lands in the fields of Old Stratford, they had right to common appendant to the same and in the fields of Welcombe, but that Stephen Slye, John Terry, Thomas Greene the younger, Roger Glover, Gilbert Clarke, Hugh Glover, William Hemmynges, Peter James, and John Wykeham, labourers, with divers others riotously assembled on the 19th of December, and made a ditch and bank at least fifty perches in length to the great impeachment of the petitioners, who pray that there may be no more such disorders
