Gift from Thomas Kebell serjeant of the King at law to Thomas Brereton esq. of the King's body guard and John Brome gent. of the manor of Baddesley Clynton' with appurtenances, the advowson of the church of the said manor and 7 acres of meadow, 28 acres of pasture and 4 acres of wood in Baddesley Clynton', which property the said Thomas Kebell together with Simon Mountford knt. deceased recovered in the Court of Common Pleas in Michaelmas Term 10 Henry VII [1494] against Nicholas Brome and Elizabeth his wife. Also 40 messuages, 1,000 acres of land, 40 acres of meadow, 1,040 acres of pasture, 8 acres of wood and 15s. rent with appurtenances in Overwoodcote, Netherwoodcote, Leke Wotton, Hulle, Bewsale, Offechurche, Eythorp, Honyngham, Warwyk, Mitcn, Le, Budbroke, Hampton Curle and Barford which the said Thomas and Simon recovered in the said term against William Harewell', Richard Hall' and Edmund Stradlyng. Also the manors of Wodlowe and Bromes with appurtenances and 20 messuages, 100 acres of land, 4 acres of land, 4 acres of meadow, 100 acres of pasture, 8 acres of wood and 2s. rent with appurtenances in Wodlowe, Bromes, Lapworth, Kyngeswode, Henley and Warwyk' which the said Thomas and Simon recovered in the said term against the said Nicholas Brome. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. The said Thomas appointing William Hobson and Richard Wolascote attorneys to deliver seisin. Sealing clause. Given 29 April 11 Henry VII [1496]. Tag for seal with traces of red wax. Endorsed: [In a late 16th century hand] Feoff' Kebell to Brereton' and John Brome of the manor of Badesleye Overwodcote, Netherwodcote, and divers others parcels of lond in the countye of Warwike which he the said Kebell together with Mountforde recovered per Breue de Ingresu super diseicinam in le post versus Nicholaum Brome [47]
