Notification of agreement that William Oughton holds lands

Description

Notification that at a court held at [Stivichall] 14 October 16 Elizabeth, the homage, viz. Robert Benet, John Billinge, John Godffrey, Edward Walker, Henry Brunt junior, Edward Fermor, John Greene, Christopher Hurste, Richard Weston, William Brunt, William Weste, Henry Wulford and Richard Shaw stated on their oath that William Oughton holds le Leape House, and Les Floodgates, the mill of Baginton and le Bridge Medowe, for a term of years by the assignation of Henry Bagnoll, himself an assign of William Neale late the farmer of the whole manor, who by an indenture of 1 and 2 Philip and Mary received it from John Ferrers for a term of 21 years rendering annually £15 2s. 9d.
