Description
Joseph Hill, Wargrave to Rev. Thomas Leigh, Stoneleigh: Chancellor of Duchy of Lancaster has ordered inquiry re loss sustained by Rector of Hamstall Ridware by inclosure of Needwood Forest without allowance of compensation of tithes. Duchy will have Counsel which Mr. Cooper [Rector] cannot afford. Hill hopes Leigh will bear cost. [Note in hand Thomas Leigh agreeing].
