Description

Lenox [?Ludovic Stuart, Duke of Lennox] to William Seabrighte 'Towneclarck of the Cittie of London': promising that if grants of land made by the King under the Great Seal are confirmed by Parliament, he will procure confirmation of the grant to Henry Butler, Frances Cartwright and George Gorse of the lands of Nicholas Fitzherbert attainted, and also to repay to Sir Thomas Leigh, Sir William Leighton of London and Antony Fitzherbert of Norbery, Derbys., money received by him under obligations dated 10 May 1604. Endorsed that produced 6 June 1720 in Offlev v. Leigh in Chancery.
