Deed poll of Morgan Graves of Mickleton, co. Gloucs., esquire reciting that ffrancis Keyt Dighton, late of Clifford, co. Gloucs., esquire, deceased, by will dated 17 January 1767 gave and bequeathed all his estate at Hidcote to his brother Lister Selman of Old Ford, co. Middx., esquire and to Robert Martin of Pebworth, co. Gloucs., esquire in trust to be sold to discharge the mortgage with interest due to John Hopkins esquire and to pay all his other debts as far as possible, and gave and bequeathed all his goods, chattels, rents and debts to the same Trustees to be sold to satisfy his debts and the remainder to be divided equally between his three children, Lister Dighton of Clifford, esquire, Alice Annesly wife of Arthur Henry Annesley of Chewton Mendip, co. Somerset, clerk and Arabella Dighton of Clifford, spinster, Lister Selman and Robert Martin being appointed executors of the will, and reciting that the said Morgan Graves had for a valuable consideration purchased from Lister Selman, Robert Martin, Lister Dighton, A.H. Annesley and Alice his wife and Arabella Dighton the said estate at Hidcote, which was conveyed and assured to him by indentures of lease and release and bargain and sale inrolled in Chancery, the lease dated the day before and the release and bargain and sale being both of four parts and dated that day, between Lister Selman and Robert Martin of the first part, Lister Dighton of the second part, Arthur Henry Annesly and Alice his wife and Arabella Dighton of the third part and Morgan Graves of the fourth part, and by fine covenanted to be levied in the same, and reciting that Lister Selman and Robert Martin had not proved or inrolled the said will in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury or in any other ecclesiastical court, and that it had been agreed that the original will then in the hands of Morgan Graves should remain in his hands, and then witnessing that he Morgan Graves covenanted with Lister Selman and Robert Martin to produce and show forth the said will to them or their attorneys upon their every reasonable request.
