Knight of Barrells

Description

Certificate of two of the land-tax commissioners that they had contracted with Robert Knight of 44 Grosvenor Square co. Middx. esq. for the redemption by him of 4s. land tax charged on a messuage or cottage with garden and small close of land in Ullenhall lately purchased of Mr. John Green and then or late in the occupation of William Smith. With copy application signed Edw: Cooper agent to R. Knight esq., and certificate of amount issued and signed by Edw: Cooper, clerk to the commissioners of land-tax for Barlichway division, both dated 18 May 1814. Endorsed as having been registered, no. 108,082, 2 August 1814. Endorsed: Conveyed to the uses of the will of the late Earl of Catherlough, 27 April 1815. See Purchase Deed No. 20.
