Assignment of Mortgage: Bridge Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Assignment dated 19 December 1692, by Sir William Bishopp of Bridgtowne in Alveston, Knight, to John Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon, mercer, in trust for Michael Evitts of Stratford, collar-maker, of a mortgage for £60 from Isaac West of Beaudesert, saddler, and Mary his wife, of a messuage in Stratford in the Backbridge Street, for 500 years; which Mortgage was made by the said Isaac and Mary West to one Charles Hopkins on 24 June, 4 James II [1688] and assigned by John Freeman of Redditch, co. Worc., innholder, his executor, to the said Sir William Bishopp on 20 April 1692. Witnesses: Joseph Hunt, George Crosse, Edward Wittway and N. Mason.
