Copy of the Enclosure award for the parish of Alveston, according to an Act of Parliament 11 George III [1770-1771]. House, field, road and path names. John Sherwood clerk, as rector of Bishop's Hampton alias Hampton Lucy was patron of the vicarage and parish church of Alveston and the Rev. John Hammond, clerk was vicar of Alveston. Landowners named in the award: the Rt. Hon James Lord Lifford, Baron Lifford, Lord Chancellor of Ireland, Newsam Peers esq., Thomas Hiron, John Higgins, Edward and Thomas Townsend, John and Edward Stanley, the Trustees and feoffees of charitable lands belonging to the parish of Henley in Arden, Mary Baker, William Smith, John Lord, the Churchwardens of Alveston, Judith Brawn and John Knottesford, Sarah Ebrall, Thomas Randall, Thomas Hinde, and the Vicar of Alveston and his successors. With schedule of messuages and lands with their acreage and also the names of the owners and occupiers in the parish discharged from all impropriate and vicarial tithes.
