Indexed and inscribed by Francis Dudley Leigh, later Lord Leigh. Contains pp. 1-40: newscuttings, many relating to South Africa and the Boer War, 1899-1902. pp.41-on: more general material, 1926-34, including, besides newscuttings: - typescripts of four broadcast appeals by Lord Leigh on behalf of World War I casualties, 1931-4 (pp.48-9, 64-6, 98-9, 114-5). - letters etc concerning E.L. Fardon and the invention of the modern bicycle, 1926-31 (pp. 73-7). Also, amongst loose material in end pocket: - passport issued to Dudley Leigh, 9 March 1894. - printed poem by H. Durham, Warwick, to mark Lord and Lady Leigh's Golden Wedding, 11 August 1898. - appointment of Francis Dudley Leigh as a Major in HM Yeomanry Forces, 5 April 1902. - appointment of Francis Dudley Lord Leigh as a Colonel in HM Militia Forces, 11 December 1907.
