Description

Lease from Arthur Gregorye of Helinhull Graunge, esq., to Edward Yate of Marson Secca, co. Glos., yeoman, for 200 pounds, of his capital messuage called Helinhull Graunge with the orchard and garden thereto belonging in Kingeshull, together with closes called the Hallforde Close, Cockshuyt Close, Dove Howse Close, Dalien Feild, Barley Crofte, Stony Croftes, Graunge Peeces and a meadow called Alforshame with appurtenances, now in the occupation of Arthur Gregory, lying in Kingeshull, Fynhame and Stivechale, and rated at six yard lands and six yards of meadowe with one barn in Stivechale, but reserving to the said Arthur the Coppices, Groves, timber and hedgerows, half the fish from the moat, ingress and egress to and from the same, the right to hold a court there twice a year, and a little inclosure adjoining the said barn; to hold the same for 21 years, rendering annually £6. 13s. 4d.; and the said Arthur agrees to set up within one year a barn of four bays adjoining the said grange, and to make the said grange tenantable within half a year; and it is also agreed that the said Edward shall have and enjoy during the said term the capital messuage in Stivechale, where the said Arthur dwells, `so y supt; the seid Arthure Gregory and Jane his wife be not resiant and dwelling there in themselfes'; and the said Edward shall also have and enjoy the barn of three bays adjoining the capital messuage in Stivechale.
