Description

Lease from Edmund Gregorye of Warwicke, gent., to Thomas Greswolde de Kenellworthe, miller, reciting that the said Edmund upon an extended Statute Merchant of 1000 pounds acknowledged by one Arthur Gregorye has had delivered to him [no. 1604] (inter alia) one messuage and a close called Rabbecroftes and three water mills with appurtenances in Stoneley, which since the acknowledging of the said Statute were demised by the said Arthur to Symon Yate [no. 1005]. It is now witnessed that the said Edmund, in consideration of five marks paid to him as a heriot has assigned to the said Thomas Greswolde, now tenant of the premises, all his interest in the said premises by virtue of the said Statute and extent; to hold the same for the duration of the extent, rendering annually to the said Edmund 10 pounds.
