Description

Frederick Colville, Stoneleigh Abbey to Mr. Lucas, at Thomas Hill Mortimer, Albany: re steps to be taken for proving will and settling estate [of James Henry Leigh]: Refers to unfortunate circumstances in which Mr. Chandos Leigh, several years previously, settled an annuity on Miss Rhodes, with provision for increase. Mrs. Chandos Leigh, being near her time, must not hear of this. Suggests some form of composition.
