Description
Rev. Henry Dryden, Adlestrop to `Dear Sir': Thanks for generosity. Would be willing to accept curacy but not to hold the living in trust for Mr. Twisleton, [Hon. and Rev. Thomas James, Rector of Adlestrop, Archdeacon of Colombo, 1815-24], as by taking priests orders would forfeit scholarship and proposed stipend would not compensate. Encloses his thoughts in form of memorandum [DR 18/8/19/12].
