The first item in which is for a pottell of sack and a pottell of clarett given to Sir Thomas Lucie, to Sir Robert Lee, and for three quarters of a pound of sugor at the Swane when-as they cam to confer with Mr. Hall abowt the poor men which weare arrested, 4.s. 7d. Amongst the remainder may be noticed 12.s. 6.d. bestowed in wine and money to Sir Thomas Lucy's keeper on his bringing a buck; earnest money to the bellfounder towards casting of the bell etc
