Draft release by William Court, late of Admington, Glos., then Binton, now Drayton, farmer, and Sarah his wife, with the consent of Hannah Court, Shottery, widow of Isaac, his mother, and of John Cory, Shottery, gent., his mortgagee to John Walton, Binton, baker, for £101 (£95 to Cory, £6 to Court) of 2 cottages now used as 3, with gardens and appurtenances, in Shottery, abutted on N W by an old road (now stopped up) leading from Shottery to Miles Bush turnpike on N. by a stone built house formerly called Kitchens Stone House, now belonging to John Cory, and on other sides by closes called the Coppices [part of Hathaway Hamlet], which cottages were part of the property of Samuel Kitchen, Shottery, after of Bromfield Westbury. Recitals (1) 6 7 Aug 1811. Conveyance by Bromfield Westbury to Isaac Court, then of Crofts Farm, Alveston. (2) 24 Nov 1816. Death of Isaac Court, intestate, leaving eldest son William his heir at law. (3) 1 2 Jan 1821. Mortgage by William Court to John Cory of premises in Shottery for £300.
