Draft release by Thomas Battersbee, Lt., Royal Engineers, only son and heir at law of Edmund Battersbee, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, banker, deceased, and Richard Gibbs, Wootton Wawen gent., surviving Assignee in bankruptcy of William George Morris, late of S/A, banker, deceased, to Edward Cooper, Henley-in-Arden, gent., of (1) messuage and garden in Chapel Street, S/A, [no.22] formerly in occupation Rev. Edmund Rawlins, since Catherine Hunt, widow, then said William George Morris, now Mrs. Crawford, together with garden ground lying between said messuage and Chapel Lane, upon part of which a capital messuage formerly stood, but which is now used with messuage in occupation Chapel Street [New Place garden]; (2) stable and harness house adjoining above, fronting on to Chapel Lane. The above being premises conveyed to Edmund Pattersbee and William George Morris by indenture dated 14 and 15 May 1807.
