Conveyance by Richard Hands, Coventry, threadmaker and baker (assignee of William Smith, Foleshill, ribbon weaver, bankrupt), William Cattell, Stoke, Coventry, butcher, Thomas Haywood, Coventry, victualler to Edward Inge, Town Clerk of Coventry in trust to attend the inheritance of John Warner, Bell Green, Foleshill, victualler for £64.8s.0d to Richard Hands and £50.18s. due upon mortgage to Thomas Haywood of (1) ancient cottage with garden and orchard in Henley Lane, Foleshill, formerly in occupation Samuel Newitt, now William Smith. (2) newly erected messuage adjoining above also in tenure William Smith. Recitals (1) 30 June 1794 Mortgage by William Smith, Foleshill ribbon weaver, with Thomas Haywood, Coventry, victualler to William Cattell, Coventry, butcher for £40. (2) 30 June 1794 Declaration by Cattell that money lent is property of T. Heywood and that he is acting as trustee. (3) 14 Aug 1797 Sale at auction of premises for £128.2s.0d to John Warner, Bell Green, Foleshill, victualler, of which £12.16s. paid as deposit. (4) 24 April 1800 Assignment by Edward Inge, Town Clerk of Coventry, to Richard Hands, Coventry, threadman and baker, of the real and personal estate of William Smith, bankrupt in the City Gaol, in trust for the benefit of creditors.
