Articles of Agreement between Samuel Smith, S/A, yeoman, and his brother John Smith, S/A, yeoman, whereby Samuel agrees to pay to John, with interest, the sum of £340 due to him under the will of their grandmother, Mary Smith, S/A, widow (dated 9 Nov 1754) and John agrees not to invoke the clause in the said will whereby delay in payment transferred to him a bequest to Samuel of 3 closes of land in Old Stratford purchased by the testatrix of Mr. Rawlins, and one close at Ingon purchased of Joseph Hunt, Shipston. The lands are to stand as security for payment.
