Description

Counterpart of lease, indented, from Thomas Greuyle, gent., master of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc., of Straford upon Auen, with the assent of Henry Cloppton, gent., William Phillipps, Adrian Quyny, Thomas Taylour, Hugh Raynoldes, Richard Monyngley, John Harrecourtt and Richard Woodell', aldermen, and Richard Quyny and John Whityngton, proctors of the said Gild, to Thomas Smyth `tannar', of a tenement formerly three, (with a garden and close adjoining) in Rodurmarkett between a tenement of George Turnour of Clyfford, `husbandman', to the south, and a tenement of John Gilbard `weyuer', to the north, for 41 years at an annual rent of 16 shillings Dated in the Gildhall, 23 March, 18 Henry VIII With notarial mark of R[oger] E[gynton] Seal of red wax, octagonal.
