Indenture of lease from Thomas Grevile, gent., master of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc., of Stratford with the consent of William Phillipps, Adrian Quyny, Thomas Taylor, Richard Lorde, Olifer Lyghttfoott, William Staffordsher, Hugh Raynoldes, and Thomas Whateley, aldermen, and William Smyth alias Fynche and Richard Vnderhill, proctors of the said Gild, to Richard Smyth `deister', of a tenement with a small garden adjoining and a small close late in the tenure of Adrian Quyny in `Le Churche' [sic] between a small close belonging to the warden of the Collegiate Church of Straford on one side and Evysham lane "in lee West" on the other side and extending in length from the said street as far as the land or garden of the said Warden of the said Collegiate Church "in lee So the", for 51 years at the annual rent of 15 shillings with usual covenants and bond of obligation in £5 for the performance thereof Dated in the hall of the Gild, 18 March, 19 Henry VIII The seal of the Gild in red wax, broken
