Account of John Brasyer, Master of the Guild (undescribed) from the Morrow of Michaelmas "in the year of the reign of King Henry the Fourth after the Conquest." (Here the heading ends abruptly without mentioning the year.) The Account is rendered under the following headings Arrears. (The arrears of John Iremonger, the last Master of the Guild) Fines. The fines of Thomas Shepherd, Chaplain (10 marks); Robert Trout, Chaplain (10 marks); John Mortemer, Chaplain (5 marks); Thomas Whetard (40s); Thomas Fyppe (40s); Thomas Clerke, of Bisshopusdon (40s); John Studeley (40s); Robert Parnell (40s); Richard Lake (40s); John Mortemer, of Millecote (40s); Thomas de Stratton super Fosse (40s); Richard atte Halle (26s 8d); Henry atte Yatte (20s); Thomas Brown (40s); William Welemotus (40s); William Sallow (53s 4d); John Hobbys, of Thorndon (40s); Richard Holy (40s); and William Brasyer (20s) Receipt of moneys. ("From a legacy; for ij. multonibus Sanctæ Mariæ" sold; 66s 6d received from 133 brethren and sisters present at the Feast this year, namely, 6d from each; for wool sold to himself (the accountant), c.) Delivery of Moneys. (26s 8d paid to Davy Ulemaker for a "ulemulle" bought from him; 40s for a missal bought for the use of the Guild; fines assigned to the Proctors for the expenses of a Feast, c.) A small slip of parchment with the same marginal heading is annexed to this partion of the Account. It is an account of various fines which have been delivered to John Blaunfron Cost of the houses. Repairs to the house lately held by William Mayel, including 2d to a woman drawing straw for a day; 10d for 100 "stone latten;" 8d for half-a-thousand "de stone-broddys"; payments for work done at the Almshouses Expenses of the Feast; with sub-headings of Corn, Beer, Meat, c The following is the account of the beer bought for the Feast:--4 sesterns of good beer bought from Lucy Brasyer, 6s; the price of a gallon, 1½d; 1 sestern of "penyale" 12d; 10 gallons of "smalleale," 5d; 2 sesterns of good beer bought from Agnes Iremonger, 3s, the price of a gallon, 1½d; 14 gallons of good beer bought from Margery Ilmyngdon, 21d, the price of a gallon, 1½d; 13 gallons of "smallale," 6d; 20 gallons of good beer bought from Agnes Mayel, 2s 6d, the price of a gallon, 1½d; 10 gallons of "smallale" bought from Alice James, 15d; 6 gallons of "smallale" 2d Under the sub-heading of Geese is an item of 2d for hay Under the sub-heading of Pullets there are two items, one of 103 pullets bought at 1d a piece, and the other of 4d for a capon bought for the Master Under the sub-heading of Pay of the Servants, there is an item 6d for 6 carvers In the last entry relating to the Feast one of the items is of 5d for "rysshyn" for the Hall (Two membranes and a slip of parchment attached.)
